Meet Lindsay “Linz”
springtown, texas
While Lindsay did not grow up hunting and fishing, she was raised on an ostrich farm in Jack County and found a passion for agriculture as she was “one of those FFA kids”. Lindsay is what many call a “late onset” hunter/outdoorsman. In fact, she did not harvest her first game animal or touch her first saltwater fish until 2019. It didn’t take long to fall in love with what now, has become her way of life.
Linz has now been blessed to be call “Honey” by her two beautiful granddaughters, Kinsley and Gemma. Undoubtedly, she is already looking forward to the day that they will be able to join Honey & Pops on new adventures.
Linz has goals to travel to different states to hunt elk, notably Arizona and Utah but also explore new bodies of water and new species, specifically tarpon. While she enjoys fishing deep water, it’s just not where here heart is. If you give her the choice between trolling for large sailfish vs. standing in 10 inches of water while making 100 casts in hopes of catching that one speckled trout of a lifetime, you can bet she’ll be standing in water.
“you will always miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”.
Hi, I’m Linz
CO-HOST/WIFE/MOM/HONEY/OUTDOOR LOVER
Late 70’s baby, named after the bionic woman, “Lindsay” Wagner, Linz has always cut her own path. In her younger years, her summers were spent in the Ozark Mountains, RV’ing with her grandparents to different bluegrass festivals, undoubtedly leading to her love of classic country and bluegrass music that is still with her today. In her early teens, she moved from the “city” to Bryson, TX where her family owned and operated one of the largest ostrich ranches in the US at the time, the Golden Quill Ostrich Ranch. She then developed a love for showing livestock animals and went on to raise an award winning cross steer that she later sold at the Fort Worth Stock Show.
After high school, life threw Linz curveball. One of the best curveballs ever…she became a mom. For the next two decades, Linz raised her daugther and her son, with a large portion of this time being a single mom. She worked her way up the corporate ladder at AT&T Advertising (formerly, Southwestern Bell) and fell in love with helping small businesses design marketing campaigns that helped them connect with buyers. So much so, that she went onto be a Regional Manager over 3 states of advertising sales reps, before venturing out to start her own marketing agency in 2012, which has expanded with clients from San Antonio to Idaho. While she was succeding in her career and mom life, she just never quite felt like she really knew where she belonged.
Fast forward to when Linz met her husband, Brian, who quickly propelled her to where she is now. In 2019, not only did they fish in Rockport together for the first time but Linz “tagged along” on an evening sit at Brian’s lease, resulting in Linz harvesting her first animal, a whitetail doe. Now married, with dozens and dozens of hunting and fishing experiences together later, Linz will be the first to tell you that Brian has shaped her into the outdoorsman that she is. In just 6 short years, she has successfully connected on four whitetail bucks, one with her bow, a stud antelope buck, which she will tell you was her hardest shot to date, harvested her first turkey this year, countless whitetail does, coyotes and hogs, sandhill crane, and ducks (maybe a few decoys too). She’s been on three New Mexico public land elk hunts, harvesting her first bull elk in 2023. She has also hunted elk in Colorado, had three bear hunts in New Mexico, and hunted axis deer in Texas. She is currently preparing for her first mule deer hunt in New Mexico as well as an elk hunt in Colorado, both in November 2025. Brian has also helped train her in long range shooting, pushing her to shoot and successfully connect beyond 800 yards. Not only does Linz have a passion for hunting, during this time she also began fishing competitively in womens fishing tournaments, where she has been part of the Titty Deep Outdoors team who won back to back wins in the largest womens only fishing tournament in the country as well as placing in multiple other tournaments on the Texas coast. She has fished in multiple countries, landed multiple species, including a beautiful 7ft sailfish in Costa Rica as well as a permit fish in Belize. And she will be the first to tell you that she’s so damn grateful for every opportunity and every door that opened because they didn’t just lead her to new adventures, it led her to Sarah too.
